Who We Are

Kingfisher Custom Rods was established in 2021 by a veteran who needed something to do during the C-19 lockdowns. He is an avid fisherman who always wanted something better than what you could find at the big box stores and told himself he could make a better one. He sought to bring a custom fishing rod to extraordinary people who love to fish just like he does and wants a satisfying rod to show off while he fishes.

And what is the one thing a fisherman can’t do without? A good knife. In collaboration with Rasp & File Custom Armory, also a veteran-owned and operated business we also bring you the best bait knives, as well as general-purpose knives, hand-forged from discarded farriers' rasps and files. The owner of this business is also a proud supporter of a veteran-operated organization, Blackhorse Forge, where he has honed his skills as a knifemaker and blacksmith.
